Million views for our #5for5 videos featuring famous comedians as babies

Childcare, Early childhood development, Safe pregnancy and birth

The films to promote ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï's early childhood development campaign featured funny stars including Matt Lucas, Rainn Wilson and Teacher Wanjiku dressed as babies.

Take seven well-known comedians. Give them one task – dress up like a baby to promote the five things that all children under five need.

And all that adds up to … more than a million! A series of fun videos with serious messages to support ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï’s #5for5 campaign has racked up 1.1 million views so far on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

#5for5 puts the spotlight on the five crucial childhood interventions needed for children aged 0-5 – nutrition, health, learning, play and protection.

Having fun are a vital part of growing up. So when we asked a bunch of comedians to get in touch with their inner child, they all jumped – or crawled – at the chance.

Our videos featured British TV and film star Matt Lucas; Rainn Wilson – from the US version of TV show The Office; Kenyan comedian Carolyne “Teacher” Wanjiku; and stand-up comedians Jackie Tohn, Wendy Liebman, Shappi Khorsandi and Nish Kumar.

The Matt Lucas videos were made for ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï by Geoff Posner, a legendary TV comedy director and producer known for a range of work including The Young Ones, Little Britain and Dinnerladies.

Thank you to our partners and supporters on the #5for5 campaign – in particular the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation.
