Millions of girls and young women across the world face prejudice every day. They don’t have equal access to education, opportunity and pay.
But the launched by ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï is trying to change the embedded values that hold girls back.
–Ìýthe campaigning charity behind A World at School – asked people toÌýtake a stand for International Women’s Day on March 8 and call on the world to start getting serious about #RewritingTheCode.
A host of famous faces joined in by sharing messages on social media – telling their fans and followers what embedded values they would like to change.
Sarah Brown, President of ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï, launched the #RewritingTheCode campaign at Ìýin London. ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï also launched its innovative Ìýin Kenya, Uganda and Senegal.
Sarah said: “With a safe space to learn and play, a mentor to inspire and access to technology to be able to explore, create and code, we can increase learning opportunities and empower girls to fulfil their potential.
“Every girl should have the opportunity to go to school, learn, grow and have a future they choose.â€
